The 918 FLAT is the panel-front version of the 918 STRIPE, named for the flat face where the STRIPE is named for its ribbed one. Electrically the two are the same unit, and the flat front changes neither the chassis, the footrest, nor the load rating. It measures 36 x 24 x 53 cm, carries 20 litres, holds a maximum load of 110 kg and weighs 7.9 kg empty. Four colourways are listed for the model: black, silver, pink and carbon-fibre black. The telescopic footrest extends for the rider and retracts when the case is pushed by hand. Custom colours, logos and cartons are available from 300 units; the standard minimum order is 10 units, and models may be mixed within one order. TSA locks are an optional upgrade.

The zipper opens the case flat for packing, and the telescopic footrest extends for the rider and retracts when the case is pushed by hand. The battery is a 96.2 Wh (37V 2600mAh) detachable pack, under the 100 Wh cabin limit, and it lifts out of the case rather than being fixed in place. Colour choice does not alter the specification, so four colourways are offered from one set of parts.
